Description

This course is an introduction to speech communication. The course topics are the focus on the practical skill of public speaking, including how to adapt a speech for different occasions and audiences, how to effectively support students’ ideas, how to help the speaker to reduce anxiety, and how to use visual aids to enhance speaker presentations. The goal of Public Speaking is to prepare students for success in typical public speaking situations and to provide them with the basic principle of organization and research needed for effective speeches. This course should be relevant in your class, business, and daily life settings. Students will obtain the skills and knowledge in how to become a better public speaker, and listener while thinking about and maintaining ethical standards.
