Description

This course provides an intermediate level introduction to modern macroeconomic theory and its applications, in order to help learners understand the aggregate behavior of an economy. Intermediate Macroeconomics links the theories with real world situation so that students can learn the cause of macroeconomic fluctuations in production, employment, inflation, and price-level determination; roles of consumer and investor demand, interest rates, money supply, and fiscal and monetary policy. This set of tools is used to understand current economic issues, forecast the behavior of the economy, and assess the impact of policy choices.

Prerequisite(s)

ECON 012, MATH 011 or equivalent intro-level macroeconomics and first- year calculus course.
